Journey Through Grief - Websites
These are my everyday “go to” websites that keep me moving on my
journey through grief. They are listed in order of when I was able to
explore each one. The first ones are photography, spouse relations,
and a grief group because those needed to be immediate. The websites
following are ones that provided a voice to my grief and allowed me to
read and cry when I could barely breathe. The end websites are ones,
at 6 months after losing Jeremiah that I only now have begun to have
the concentration to explore. If none of these speak truth to you,
please keep searching. There are so many resources available by
hurting mommies whohave also lost a baby.

Marriage/Partner Website
www.fulfillingyourvows.com/grieving-spouse gives some ideas about how to help a grieving spouse. I found it helpful to read so I knew what to ask for and what I needed while I grieved.
Northern Nevada
www.pilsos.org is a non-profit that creates burial gowns out of donated wedding dresses, leads a monthly grief group, provides resources online and sponsors the October Walk of Remembrance in Reno, Nevada.
Inspiration, Voices to Grief and Support Websites
www.stillbornandstillbreathing.com is an inspiring website filled with articles, links, and pictures that are updated regularly so it can be followed daily. You can also follow them on Facebook to see links to the articles posted daily on the website. In the July 16, 2013 post there is a sample funeral ceremony, death announcement, and Facebook message for death of a baby.
www.luminouslightstudio.com has created a beautiful bereaved mother’s project filled with quotes and photos. They also have a blog and make art to bring light to what is left behind after loss. This is more than a shopping site. It has been inspirational to follow the bereaved mother’s project and find words to the loss that I am feeling.
www.stillbornstillloved.org
is a Seattle based non-profit that is dedicated to breaking the
silence about fetal death and bringing awareness. They have a
beautiful video “Born in Silence” on their homepage that gives voice
to the journey of grief. I found it helpful to share the video to help
those around me understand this kind of sorrow and to help myself
understand.
www.mend.org is a
nonprofit, mommies enduring neonatal loss, and is filled with links
and resources when you are ready to explore. They have multiple
chapters and events as well.
www.angelkisses.org
is a non-profit based out of Michigan but has lots of links to blogs,
websites, and bereavement support under their resources tab regardless
of where you live.
www.facesofloss.com
not only has an endless list of blogs, websites, and resources but it
also has hundreds of stories of women who have experienced the death
of a baby. Their stories are real and provided me an opportunity to
say, “me too” while reading them.
www.hopelifters.com
is dedicated to spreading hope when people are hurting. I found the
website inside the pages of Grieving The Child I Never Knew. The
author hosts this website as well. My favorite part of this website is
the “Recipes of Hope” tab that has craft ideas to express love to
those hurting or to make for you on the journey through grief.
www.stillmothers.com
has a little of everything but uniquely includes resources for dads
and grandparents in addition to grieving moms.
Books
I couldn’t even start to read these right away and some made me feel angry when I couldn’t relate to the author’s journey but eventually I was ready. Eventually I got to the “me too” stage. This was my reading list for the first 6 months after
